Transcription: That whitish looking tree is another cholla. Like the teddy bear cholla, its joints or segments are very easily detached. So much so that they appear to jump at unwary passers-by. Hence its common name, the jumping cholla. This cholla's detachable segments can also root and become new plants. Many of the choas reproduce that way. But other cacti, like the saguaro, do not. Think of the advantages and disadvantages in this kind of habitat of reproducing vegetatively like that.
